Honda Dio is one of the most popular scooters in the company’s line-up after Activa has been launched in the Philippines market at a price tag of PHP 49,900 (equivalent to ₹76,499). In comparison, the scooter costs Rs 63,273 in India. The model launched in the South East Asian market is made in India and also identical to the scooter sold in the country.
This model runs on a 109cc SOHC air-cooled, four-stroke engine that pumps out 7.89hp at 7,500rpm and 8.91Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. More important, Honda claims it can achieve 58.3km/L when traveling at a constant speed. Some of the external features on the Honda Dio include LED lighting, LED DRL, sharp-looking body panels, a fully digital instrument cluster with an intelligent display, and a dual-tone paint scheme. The under-seat storage on the scooter is 14.4 lakh.
The latest-generation Dio has a 104kg curb weight, a 5.3-liter fuel tank, a 765mm seat height, and 158mm of ground clearance. It’s also fitted with a 14.4-liter capacity U-Box, front and retractable rear hooks for extra luggage, not to mention a wider dual seat and step floor. Its steel rims and 10-inch tubeless tires come with a front and rear mechanical drum-brake system.

“As the latest addition to our motorcycle offerings, the all-new Dio is our way of helping everyone face today’s everyday challenges,” said Honda Philippines president Susumu Mitsuishi. “People will surely love it because, with this multipurpose scooter, they can always seize the day.”
While the India-spec model gets two variants (Standard and Deluxe) and five body colors, the model launched in the Philippines includes three dual-tone options – Blue/White, Red/Grey, and Orange/Grey.
HMSI has also recently announced a special discount offer of 5%cashback (up to ₹3,500) on the Indian-spec Dio model.
